I'm a book designer and digital illustrator based in Scotland. My influences are wide-ranging but I'd say I generally draw inspiration from the ornamental design and rich colours of illuminated manuscripts and Golden Age book covers. In terms of subject matter and rendering, I also look a lot to contemporary surrealist illustrators. I'm fascinated by the intersection of 2D and 3D, and I draw ornamental borders which are like window frames into surreal 3D worlds.
